Applications of Derivatives

You’ve probably spent a great deal of time figuring out how to find the derivative of a function. In this pencast, I discuss a useful, common application of derivatives. Physics is a field that is continuously applying the concept of a derivative. In this particular example I discuss the motion of a particle along the x-axis.
